The overall purpose of this training is to improve milk and milk products quality food safety.  The ultimate goal is to increase competitiveness and market access of Kenya’s dairy products   by complying with technical regulations and international standards

Training Objectives

1. To improve compliance to standards and regulations in milk production.
2. To improve compliance to standards and regulations in milk collection, bulking, cooling and processing.
3. To enhance awareness on monitoring the quality and safety of milk, with specific focus on residues.

Areas To Be Covered

Training on milk quality, Milk sampling and analysis Introduction, Standards, Codes Practice in Dairy Sector, animal feed, farm hygiene, farm structures, Artificial Insemination (AI), coolers, transportation, milk reception, cold storage, bulking.
Good Manufacturing Practices, and Residue Monitoring. Implementation of standards and SOPs, EU,EAC and COMESA import requirements for quality and food safety including conformity assessments, Records and records maintenance.
